Does the title of this blog post sound appealing to you? It would do if it meant that you were to get £50 from your cheap car insurance company but unfortunately that is not what it is referring to. Instead, that is exactly how much you are going to be expected to pay extra as a result of the dishonest drivers out there. We all knew that the increasing number of fraudulent claims would eventually put premiums up but when you realise just how much the increase will be it suddenly makes it real.

A recent investigation into the availability for cheap car insurance for the elderly has revealed shocking, and also frankly disgusting, results. Age Concern and Help The Aged commissioned the research and found that the majority of drivers over the age of 80 could not get an insurance policy to cover them at all, with the majority over 65 having serious problems getting policies with low enough premiums to fit into their budget.

This is an absolute disgrace, especially when you realise that some of the cheap car insurance refusals for the elderly come from some of the largest insurance providers in the UK. Now that this discrimination has been revealed then there may be some changes within the cheap car insurance industry, especially given that it means some will be restricted in terms of what they can do with their lives.

There seem to be an awful lot of surveys around at the moment that have been taken around various cheap car insurance issues.  One of the most interesting I found is the subject of this post. Apparently, many people are trying to suggest that breakdown cover is one of the elements of car insurance that can be omitted in order to achieve cheap car insurance.

Cheap car insurance is readily available for those people that abide by the rules of the road. The problem is that those that do not abide by the laws and do not take car insurance of any kind out ruin it for everyone else. They cost millions in damages to other vehicles and landscapes every single year. The government is finally taking action against these people with a view to helping those drivers that do have insurance out. Cheap car insurance is readily available for those people that are careful drivers and have not claimed in years. It is also available for people that have plenty of security on their car and have a low grouping car that costs little to repair. Of course, it is available for numerous others out there too but cheap car insurance will only last as long as your car does, so to speak!
