Performance Car Insurance & Specialists

Written by Zachary Jones on September 23, 2010 – 8:31 pm

Having done a little research on car insurance companies in the last few weeks, I have discovered an alarming fact. Most of the cheaper performance car insurance quotes are offered by specialists rather than mainstream car insurance providers that supposedly offer the cheapest car insurance around. Specialist providers are often quite low profile in comparison to mainstream providers so many drivers dismiss them out of hand. However, it is certainly worth considering them for performance car insurance because they are often better placed to provide the cover you are looking for.

Specialist car insurance policies for performance cars are not difficult to come by.

Insurance Seekers Advised to be Wary

Written by Christina Williams on September 23, 2010 – 6:21 pm

UK motorists aiming to get car insurance quotes have been warned to look out for careful analysis of the quotes. The recession although seemingly over has been able to hit crucial notches in the insurance as well as automobile industry. Recent developments in UK show that councils have decided upon deactivation or the removal of the road speed cameras. This is likely to bring forth greater implications of road accidents, thus further shooting the insurance premiums to peaks. Under the latest regulations launched, it is suspected that more than 66% or two-thirds of the driving population believe that with this event, most of the UK roads would become dangerous.

Cheap Car Insurance & Older Drivers

Written by Christina Williams on September 19, 2010 – 1:41 pm

Car insurance companies have been spiralled with the surmounting insurance payouts and while the premiums touched 31% increase in the previous year, the condition of insurance market does not seem to change much either. A recent report from a comparative buying insurance site claims that about 38% of the UK motorists have resorted to lying as the means to get better premiums. Men are the likely culprits for doing the same with more than half of the population admitting to have fibbed for getting lower insurance cover.

It is seen that the British drivers have been remarkably well off with different lies for different occasions all in an attempt to driver a lower insurance premium to their kitty.

Car theft doesn’t just happen to the rich and famous

Written by Christina Williams on September 15, 2010 – 10:13 am

It could be a plot line right out of Two and a Half Men. Charlie Sheen’s Mercedes Benz S600, one of the 20 most expensive cars to insure, was stolen out of his driveway in a high-security community–the second car stolen from Sheen this year. The thief sent the car careening down a cliff off Mulholland Drive. A Bentley that was stolen not far from Sheen’s house was found nearby, ditched off the same hillside.

These are expensive cars, not the typical targets for joyriding. Normally, cars like these are stolen and shipped off to waiting buyers.

Your car might be at risk too

You may feel like your car is safe from theft. After all, it isn’t a $100,000 luxury car, but you might be wrong.
