Defensive driving is no accident! Take command of your car.
Written by Christina Williams on October 15, 2010 – 3:37 pmI asked, “Have you had any tickets in the last three years or accidents in the last five years?”
“Yes, I had an accident, but it wasn’t my fault,” replied the young lady. “I ran a stop sign, and t-boned another car in the intersection.”
I was stunned. After many years as an agent, I was used to people denying responsibility for their actions, like backing into a light pole because “it was hard to see in the rain” or rear-ending the car ahead of them because “they stopped unexpectedly”, but this was a first.
“How, exactly, is that not your fault?” I asked.
“He didn’t have a license and shouldn’t have been there anyway, so it wasn’t my fault…”
So, what is your fault and what isn’t? U

Cheap Car Insurance & City Hotspots
Written by Zachary Jones on October 15, 2010 – 12:24 amWhen you think of the term “hotspot”, you most likely think of holiday hotspots and other such positive things. However, when the term is used in conjunction with cheap car insurance it is time to be worried because it is usually on about where people have the most accidents and how much car insurance will go up as a result. The latter applies here because a study found that certain cities have far poorer motoring behaviour than others. Apparently, Swansea drivers really leave the respect at home.
According to the research, Swansea drivers are not courteous and do not obey the rules of the road as they should. For example, 50% ignore red lights and drive straight through them. More than 75% also failed to use their indicators. This is in stark contrast to the drivers in Southampton, who apparently do show courtesy and so have a better driving experience! Although it should be noted that these figures do not apply to everyone, you have to wonder how much your premiums will go up as a result!

Linking Home Insurance & Cheap Car Insurance
Written by Zachary Jones on October 11, 2010 – 5:17 pmI don’t know about you but I have noticed that there are an awful lot of insurance companies offering discounts for those people with cheap car insurance to take up home insurance with the same provider, or vice versa. Whereas cross promotion never used to be a factor of their marketing campaigns because products were kept separate, it is viewed as a way to secure customer loyalty today. Many people have taken advantage of those discounts, but should you?
The answer is no, or at least not before comparing the other quotes that are out there for you. The discounts may be enticing but that is not to say that you cannot find better premiums out there. You probably can, in addition to a policy that suits you. Ch

Insurance Major Urges Motorists to Check their Insurance for Misfuelling Cover
Written by Christina Williams on October 11, 2010 – 8:32 amCompare insurance quotes car that is what we have heard when it comes to car insurance and it seems that it will be of help with other fronts if not bringing the insurance premiums down. The independent financial research company of UK Defaqto has come out with a recent research claiming that more of the insurance companies in the UK do not offer any respite against misfuelling. It is seen in the research that over 23% of the companies offering insurance quotes have their breakdown insurance cover devoid of misfuelling. Misfuelling is making use of a fuel other than that of the one which is innate to the car.
