Young Drivers Car Insurance & The Internet

It is now official – you can be insured and on the road in a matter of minutes without having to wait for a cover note to arrive through your door when you buy a new car. The Department of Transport has now given official permission for insurers to issue electronic car insurance certificates without sending a copy through the post. As such, all young drivers car insurance can now be issued immediately.

Young drivers insurance certificates can be emailed to drivers as soon as their policy applications have been approved. They can then print them out and use them of official proof on insurance.

Car Insurance Minimums By State

Nearly every state in the U.S. has a minimum auto insurance coverage requirement for drivers. Only residents of New Hampshire, the “Live Free or Die” state, can drive legally without paying for car insurance. Liability insurance is the minimum auto insurance coverage required by many states, but coverage requirements vary from state-to-state. For example, the state of Wisconsin requires drivers to carry liability, uninsured, underinsured and first party medical expenses coverage.

Understanding liability coverage numbers

Liability coverage is often expressed as a set of three figures, such as 25/50/25 or 10/20/10. The first two numbers are the required minimum coverage levels for bodily injury damage claims.
