Performance Car Insurance & Courtesy Cars

If you have a performance car then the likelihood is that your insurance is higher than the average policy. After all, performance car insurance costs more because it takes into account the probability of getting into an accident and the costs required to repair the vehicle. As such, performance car insurance policy holders are more likely to cut elements of their car insurance out when it comes to managing their renewal quotes. The question is whether or not those elements were a part of the policy to start with.

Recent research has suggested that 23% of insurance policies have courtesy car cover as standard. A further 28% offer policyholders the option to have courtesy car cover. The remaining 49% do not provide a courtesy car at all. If your policy falls into that 49% then you will not be able to cut it out at all. The thing is that courtesy cars are important because they give you that mobility option you may need if your car is off the road so make sure you have it if you need it and do not cut it out.
